R.I.P Gerry, what Whitehall club owes you cannot easily be put into words, as long as tennis is played there you will be forever missed and never forgotten, Always generous with his time and his words. A true gentleman who will be missed by everyone.

Thoughts
Gerry was one of the most kind, generous and energetic men you could ever wish to meet. His efforts in coaching both children and adults at Whitehall tennis club are legendary. He also ran the well known Wilson junior tournament there, served as team captain, club captain and chairman, he kept the club going for many years always with enthusiasm and passion.
R.I.P. Gerry, Whitehall as a club and me personally owe you a huge debt of gratitude, you are and always will be greatly missed.

Gerry represented the very epitome of enthusiasm. He was a much loved, larger-than-life character over many decades not only at Whitehall Tennis Club but also in the world of tennis across Essex County.
RIP Gerry, you’ve certainly earned your rest.
